New corona measures

  • by

Dear member of Tjas,

Last night was the press conference we hoped would never come. Because of the Omikron variant, the cabinet has decided to close all indoor sports venues and proceed to a hard lockdown. Like last year, this means a great deal for Tjas’ sports offerings. In this Email you can read exactly what this means for the following weeks.

What does this mean for the sports offerings from Tjas?

As of today (December 19th), there will be NO more indoor sports until at least January 14, 2022. This means that the ice rink, the ACLO and Personal Training Noord will have to close their doors. In short, there will be NO skating-, spinning- or strength training sessions until then.

To make sure you don’t have to sit still, there will be online training sessions with other student ice skating associations at the following times:

Monday (20th of December and 10th of January): 19:00-20:30

Thursday (23rd of December and 13th of January): 19:00-20:30

This online training will be an abs and glutes routine. The only thing you need is sport clothes and optional a yoga mat or towel. You can follow the training at the NSSU discord:

Advisories for committees and disputes:

We strongly advise everyone to follow the measures of the government so that hopefully we can be back on the ice rink and have drinks in the Walrus soon. For visitors at home, the following rule now applies: receive no more than 2 visitors at home.

Please keep this in mind during meetings and other activities! Alongside this, please do a self-test before meeting up with others. If you are unable to order self-tests through and would still like to use them, please contact the board.

Announcement of candidate board and cocktail workshop G.S.D. Promonent:

This Thursday there is a cocktail workshop of G.S.D. Promoment. The workshop will take place online and it is allowed to sit with someone, but stick to the advice to host a maximum of 2 people. You can register for the cocktail workshop through the sajT:
